Miller Park Weed Removal Day

Saturday, June 25th

Thanks to the “Friends of Miller Park” who came out this morning to wack and remove weeds and beautify the Miller Nature Park. We used good old-fashioned elbow grease instead of harsh chemicals. Nearly all the Burdock and Canadian Thistle were eliminated, as well as patches of Buttercup and the weed-wackers took out many foxtails along the pathway trails.  It was a bluebird day with mild temps. Big thanks to Barbara Ballingham and her husband Richard, from Wasatch Hollow — who supervised our efforts.

Please reserve Saturday, July 9 around 8 a.m. for our second volunteer opportunity — spreading crushed rock to improve the trail surface.  Josh Stewart, YNC secretary, is coordinating that project: or 801-664-4003.
