Thanks to all the volunteers — old and young — who turned out today to re-surface the Miller Park trails with crushed rock. A special thanks goes to Josh Stewart, Yalecrest Neighborhood Council Secretary, who organized and supervised the crew. About 200-250 feet of the trail was improved. More work will continue throughout the summer. This will help protect the roadway throughout Utah’s four seasons but especially in the winter when portions become muddy, snowy and impassable.
Thanks also to Tyler Murdock, Deputy Director of Public Lands, for arranging the rock delivery and his assistants, Aaron Benzon and Melissa Lewis.
When summer transitions into fall, Tyler is hopeful new vegetation will be planted in the park. We will alert the “Friends of Miller Park” about future service opportunities.
Best,
