In 2018, Yalecrest resident Jim Webster, the original founder of the YNC and a former chair, was awarded a $425,000 CIP grant from Salt Lake City to improve the trails and historic rock walls as well as add ADA accessibility in Miller Bird Refuge.
For the past four years, there has been little action to implement the grant, but a new engagement process with the city is showing signs of forward movement.
